When you think about directing and filmmaking, one of the first things that always comes to mind is the quality of the footage. Lighting, angles, pans, and what not are talked about ceaselessly, but one of the most important aspects of any film, often gets left out in the cold: sound.  That's a dangerous thing to do, as it can lead to headaches in Post, and a Sound Editor ready to strangle you.  So we're here to help.

People love making movies.  Getting out there and shooting all of your footage, directing the cast, and catching that perfect angle...it’s all great stuff.  Then you get to editing it and suddenly you realize, you’re lacking a lot of things.  Or you’re running into problems you just didn’t think about on the set, and now it’s going to double your timeframe because you weren’t prepared for it.

When it comes to editing...there’s a lot of ground to cover.  There are just so many aspects to the craft of post-production, that new people trying to get into it can easily find themselves lost and disinterested.  To help this out, there are a plethora of instructional videos out there on the internet.

Time and time again we look into how video games are not adapting well to film. We dive down into the cracks and explain how we would fix it. We talk about games that would make fantastic movies, (and directors that should stay away from them).  However there is one key aspect people seem to be missing. Video games are starting to become better story tellers than many Hollywood movies, and at the end of that road maybe a video game will be the front runner to a film.
