Parents the world over know the sorrow of being dragged to a terrible kids movie for their children. It's been a problem for a long time now and what we're left with are terrible films that make a lot of money, which then encourages the studios to make more terrible films. Some parents sit back and think "it's for the kids, so who cares?"...Well this father is saying it's time to stop supporting bad films.

Michael Bay's comments about the new origins of the Ninja Turtles (or what's now being called Turtlegate) hasn't sat well with fans; myself included. Through a few of my rantings on the site, I've made it known how I feel about fanboys hating things simply for the fact that it's something different. So rather than just bitch about something on the Internet like a lot people do, I'm going to actually justify my reactions and negative feelings. One thing needs to be made clear, I'm not hating on the new film. I haven't seen it, so there's no telling how good or bad it might be. Instead, I'm expressing my dislike for this new idea that the new film is taking. It just doesn't work for the Ninja Turtles.

Not too long ago word came down that Jonathan Liebesman was in talks to direct the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. While I was excited for news about the film finally moving forward, I can't say I was overly thrilled with the choice of director. While not necessarily bad, there were a few other directors I think would do an awesome job with the Turtles reboot instead.

The 84th Annual Academy Awards have wrapped up and the general consensus from most people is: it was okay. Personally, though, I hate that the standard for judging what should be the biggest event in the film industry, is by how it 'sucked less' than the year before. This should be an amazing and fun event for all people who are passionate about film, not just those who work in it. The show has been such a bore though, so I've thought of a few ways to fix the Oscars, and bring them back to where they should be.

Sadly we have to wait one more day to see the brand new, full lenth Avengers trailer, but Disney understands your pain.  So to compensate, they've realeased the brand new one sheet for the film!  Only...I'm not entirely sure it's even that good.  But I'll let you decide for yourself after the jump!
