Disney has unmasked the new poster for the upcoming film Secretariat.

Disney nailed it with this simple design of the racehorse in action. For those familiar with the story of the greatest racehorse known to man, this powerhouse shot rocks. It captures the strength and movement of the horse in a single photo. It keeps the tale wrapped up in the majestic beauty of the Triple Crown winner. When I first saw the trailer for this movie months ago, I was thrilled to see Disney took the story under its wing. Being an avid equestrian, I do have to say I am slightly biased when it comes to this movie. Come tomorrow, I will see if the film does the legend any justice.

The movie focuses on the account of Secretariat, the 1973 Triple Crown winner. Starring Dianne Lane, she portrays the owner of this unwanted colt who with the help of a trainer makes horseracing history. Secretariat opens October 8th.
