A film/video editor at heart, Jordan dips his hands in many areas of filmmaking, including producing and VFX, all run from his personal production company Solid Studios.

When you think about directing and filmmaking, one of the first things that always comes to mind is the quality of the footage. Lighting, angles, pans, and what not are talked about ceaselessly, but one of the most important aspects of any film, often gets left out in the cold: sound.  That's a dangerous thing to do, as it can lead to headaches in Post, and a Sound Editor ready to strangle you.  So we're here to help.

Quite out of the blue, Warner Bros has unleashed another official theatrical poster for The Dark Knight Rises.  With the film only a couple months away, I guess it's about time for the marketing bonanza!

Here at TheMoviePool we like to talk about all aspects of filmmaking and movie news. To that end, we have Indie Beat where we highlight some of the latest news, trailers, and PR releases from the indie filmmaker scene.  So if you're an independent filmmaker and want some coverage on our site, be sure to drop us a line.

MGM and 20th Century Fox have announced what is sure to be the ultimate blu-ray collection for James Bond fans, in the form of Bond 50, and unprecedented 23-disc blu-ray set collecting all of the Bond films to date...plus over 100 hours of special features.

Outside of one or two official images and a handful of leaked pictures and videos, fans of the James Bond franchise haven't really gotten to see a lot of the new film, Skyfall.  So sit back, relax, and enjoy the first decent look at the film in the form of it's first trailer.

Lionsgate-Summit Entertainment are still toiling away on their long-gestating Highlander remake.  Juan Carlos Fresnadillo is still attached to direct and reports are coming in now that the studios are interested in Ryan Reynolds for the lead role.

What was once only a cruel April Fools' Day joke when Cartoon Network aired an old programming block, is now coming back for real...Toonami will finally return to Cartoon Network.

A few posters have come out in the last few days, and rather than slam you with a bunch of tiny articles for each one, I've thrown them all together into one convenient spot.  One is for James Bond and two of them are for films that haven't even started filming yet!

In advance of the new animated TRON series debuting on Disney XD, the house that Mouse built has released the first episode online for everyone to watch and 'preview'.  I'm not going to lie to you, this 30 minute episode has me excited for the TRON franchise once again.

Last night during America's Got Talent Sony showed off a four mintue long "super" preview for the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man...If you didn't catch it there, it's now available online and features some awesome looking stuff.

Warner Bros. is partnering with us here at TheMoviePool in order to give away the anniversary edition of Camelot on blu-ray book.  Come inside to find out how you can win it!

Welcome back for another edition of News Bits.  What is it you ask?  The film world can get quite overwhelming at times in the news that releases.  Unfortunately some of this news is just too small to warrant a full article. Rather than deprive you of the news, we've created this section.  This week in news bits we’ve got trailers, posters, announcements, and lots more!

The Avengers is currently tearing up the box office and breaking all kinds of records.  So it's no surprise that Marvel is keen to get a sequel moving (as they've also talked about it many times before), and now Disney has made the announcement official.

The latest Amazing Spider-Man trailer is out (attached to Avengers if you want to catch it in theaters) and it shows off quite a bit more of the Lizard, the story, and even hints as some slight changes to the origin story...
