Scream 4 will be bringing back actors from previous installments - Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courteney Cox. Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson who originally wrote the 1996 horror script will be united once more for this film. With the new cast in formation, it's handing down a new generation of victims as Williamson is contracted to write a fifth film.

If signed on, Green will be joining the cast as Campbell's cousin Jill. She will be the heroine of the film. Panettiere would be a nerdy film geek as well as Jill's best friend. Culkin's role would be a love interest for Jill. Bell is discussing a role as a police officer who knew Sidney (Campbell) during their high school years.

So far everything is being kept hush hush as character descriptions are only being released. Craven and Dimension are not sending the script to any agencies to keep everything on the down low. The result? Casting is moving at a snail's pace as actors are having problems deciding if these characters are right for them. Actor's reps (of course) have not made any comments.

Craven, Williamson and Labunka are producing it which is scheduled for an April 15 release. Cathy Konrad, an original producer, is not taking too kindly as she claims she was cut out of this installment. Her reaction? She is taking legal action against the Weinsteins.
Location for the upcoming Scream 4 will be in Michigan while the original was shot in Santa Rosa, California. Big leap, I'd say. The Scream franchise has never been a favorite, but if I ever feel the need for a slasher killer film, I'll be sure to take a look at Scream 4.
