Who do you think will be the new "it" actor (and actress) within the next few years?

You know how people say stuff has potential? Like Calvin Johnson has the potential to be one of the greatest recievers ever? Well, my question is, who do you think may be the next "it" actor, and actress, in Hollywood? Actor's wise, I few names I first think of are Tom Hardy, Chris Pine, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Chris Hemsworth, Ryan Gosling, and Michael Fassbender. Actress wise, I'm thinking along the lines of Jennifer Lawrence, Mary Elizabeth-Winstead, Oddette Yustman, Hayley Atwell, and Gemma Arterton. If I had to pick one, I'd probably have to go with Joseph Gordon-Levitt. He's already made a name for himself with his work in "Inception", "The Lookout", "Hesher", "G.I. Joe", and "(500) Days of Summer". But his upcoming films, "The Dark Knight Rises", "Lincoln", "Looper", and "Premium Rush", I believe, could make him a star, with casual and serious fans alike. An Oscar nom., probably for "Lincoln" wouldn't surprise me the least bit. So, what do you guys think? Did I forget anybody? Do you agree or believe someone else may be the next "it" star?

This is really hard for me to pick, mostly because I don't follow a lot of celebrities. There are plenty I like, but that's because they've proven time and time again to be effective in the roles they play. As far as 'it' actors go, I tend not to keep up as well.

I think Chris Pine won't be an 'it' actor. He laid too low after Star Trek for that to happen. I believe he'll be a strong and successful actor, but he won't be a guy everyone is following all of the time.

I'm going to disagree with you Jordan; with the right roles, I believe that Chris Pine could be the new Harrison Ford.

Going back to the question at hand, that is a pretty solid list there. I'd also add Taylor Kitsch and (of course) Sam Worthington to that list as well. And quite honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Levitt receives an Oscar nom this year for his work in 50/50.

I haven't seen Kitsch in much but I could see that. I have to disagree about Worthington though. He's the Keanu Reeves of the 2000s: a tree that can talk.

Well I think he's a pretty bad actor, after Avatar, Clash, and Terminator: Salvation, the world will see a lot of him.
