Wolverine gets job at Benihannas in Japan

Written by Nick Dow

A few months before X-Men Origins: Wolverine a leaked print hit the internet.  Many people watched it but only one person was ignorant enough to review it.  He worked as a critic for Fox News and lost his job as a result of his own moronic behavior.

Of course that wasn't the end of his career by any means.  He is now reporting on his website, Showbiz 411, that the rumors about Wolverine 2 being in Japan are true and that filming will begin next January.

Hugh Jackman will reprise his role as the titular character, who you should all be familiar with by now.  The script comes from X-Men and Valkyrie writer Christopher McQuarrie.  Currently the project has no director attached.  From Showbiz 411:

Based on a story cycle by Frank Miller and Chris Claremont, Wolverine’s adventures in martial arts will be a love story featuring a Japanese actress, I am told. “It’s a beautiful story,” says a source, “and will be very different than the first film.”

The whole Wolverine franchise is shaping up to be a train wreck.  The first movie was laughably bad and made sense infrequently and from the sounds of it they are tossing whatever little storyline they had and just shipping him off to Japan to bang a Geisha.  Not that that is necessarily a bad thing.  Hell, almost anything would be an improvement in my books.  As long as they have at least one scene where he uses his claws to chop up stuff and cook.
