Despite everyone's best efforts, Hollywood is a far from perfect place.  Evey week, hell, EVERYDAY, Hollywood does something stupid.  And as an internet geek, I feel it is my obligation to complain about it.  Every week I will highlight something weird, stupid, or just plain DUMB thing Hollywood has done over the course of 7 days.  Unfortunately, that's not such a hard task.  Am I a pessimist?  No, not really.  I think Hollywood has a chance at being great.  Unfortunately, I'm honest.  So welcome to This Week in Hollywood Stupidity.

Back in 2008 I found myself in a very interesting position. I had made my first feature the year before and was trying to find an effective way to build a little buzz around the movie before seeking distribution. I decided to convince my A.D. to drive cross country with me to promote it and during those months on the road I ironed out the details in my mind of how I would go on to create this site - something I had wanted to do for a while. So now I thought I'd give my old posts a new home here on TMP and hopefully give anyone reading a few good laughs. I'll probably post 2 - 3 a week until I get through them all so enjoy.

I have watched "Where the wild things are" at least eight times.  The CGI used is amazing, the interactions between Max and the Monsters is  unusual and  deeply engrossing, yet the one thing that truly brings me into the movie emotionally is its amazingly done soundtrackfeaturing Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeah's.
