2010: An Editor's Journey

So I find myself, as of current, editing my latest portfolio short-film all by my lonesome.  Why do you ask?  Oh, well, it's a compilation of issues, most notably that I cannot afford to hire pros to handle the task and that I don't actually trust anyone else to handle the task.  There's also many other myriad reasons such as my availability to the editing suite (it's in my apartment) to being able to work on it as I please, when I please (a side-effect of no deadlines or demands from producers, as I did it all myself, but also a negative one as the process is slow and arduous as I constantly second-guess myself, go back and re-edit things I already spent hours on, find little things I hate, or new things I love, digitally editing certain shots to remove things I don't like (someone call WETA) and so on and so forth.
