And yet another light has been extinguished, far too early, and far, far too swiftly.
He was a product of the 80's and a beloved actor to many who was as talented as he was real, honest, and brave. It is the tragic news that actor Corey Haim has passed away. He was 38.

Poised for a comeback after battling years of substance abuse and persistant medical issues, Corey was soon to take a stab at his career again, having recently filmed Crank 2: High Voltage with Jason Statham.
Corey collapsed at his mother's home after suffering flu-like symptoms the past few days and was later pronounced dead at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Burbank. Cause of death has not been determined, but authorities reported that there were no illegal drugs found in the apartment he shared with his mother.
A remarkable character, who never took himself too seriously, Corey established himself early and enjoyed a good run until his battles with substance abuse overtook his life. However, the steadfast actor, despite his personal demons, was poised to make a comeback and looked forward to a continued future in the industry.
His longtime friend and costar, Corey Feldman, reflected on his friend's untimely departure.
"I am so sorry for Corey, his mother Judy, his family, my family, all of our fans, and of course my son who I will have to find a way to explain this to when he gets home from school."
"This is a tragic loss of a wonderful, beautiful, tormented soul, who will always be my brother, family, and best friend. We must all take this as a lesson in how we treat the people we share this world with while they are still here to make a difference. Please respect our families as we struggle and grieve through this difficult time. I hope the art Corey has left behind will be remembered as the passion of that for which he truly lived."
To everyone who knew him, worked with him, befriended him, and loved him, our deepest condolences go out to you and to Corey's family as they struggle in the wake of this grievous tragedy.
All our prayers,
Jarod Warren
