2012 is poised to be a very big year for the movie industry.  With several high profile ‘blockbusters’ set to release, many movie buffs are crossing their fingers that all of their anticipated films meet, or exceed, their expectations.  The staff here at TMP isn’t immune to these high expectations either, so we’ve come together to bring you our lists for the most anticipated of 2012.

Even with all of the comic book movies coming out, believe it or not, there are a great many that never got off the ground or have staid in development hell for years. Which is kind of sad, because some of these attempts would have been rather awesome to see on the big screen. That’s why I’m bringing you the 5 best superhero movies that never happened (and that you probably haven’t heard about).

Here at TMP I’ve had a couple articles dealing with books and movie adaptations.  Inevitably one of the comments I always get on these articles say something to the effect of “I didn’t even know that was based off a book!”  Sometimes those adaptations can sneak up on you and unless you really watch the credits you would never know.  So I’ve compiled a list of movies you most likely didn’t know were based off of books.

Just about every movie buff has heard this phrase uttered (if they didn’t say it themselves) by someone, “The movie was good...but the book was better.”  Since books have significantly more time to cover character development and a deep story, there are many people who think this is always the case.  Because of that, I’ve come up with the 6 movies that were actually better than the books.
