Sony Pictures announced soon after the release of the first movie, that they were going to be making a Smurfs sequel...and I died just a little bit inside.  Well, Sony has now announced that they've made good on that promise and production on the second film has officially started.

Disney's new adaptation of The Lone Ranger has had some rough times getting off the ground.  From budget issues, to script rewrites, to even losing a cast member or two, it's been an ordeal that nearly killed the film.  It's been getting on track however, and has now officially started filming.

Universal Pictures sent out a press release just a little bit ago announcing that filming for the Riddick film has officially started...even though it actually started a little while ago (and the set pics prove it).

Hasbro has spent years making insane amounts of money off of children's toys and most recently they've managed to turn that very same business into a model for big-budget movies. Now another popular kids toy has been picked up by Relativity Media in the form of Stretch Armstrong...

After a lot of speculation (I'm not quite sure why really), as to when the third Transformers movie would be hitting store shelves in the US, Paramount has now issued a full press release about it.

Filming on the fourth film from the successful Disney franchise has finally started (in Hawaii) and more information on the plot has been released.
