Bay will film his "small" film first, but could return to the Transformers franchise as soon as Winter 2012.

[Updated: Bay has recently released a statement about his involvement in the film at this official site.  According to him,

Right now I’m not decided on Transformers 4… Studio’s are passing rumors but I’m not sure what I’m doing? I know I’m going to do Pain and Gain early spring but that’s it for right now. I’m leaving all my options on the table. I’ve got several Studio meetings in the next two weeks.

I look upon the Transformers franchise in a state of utter disinterest.  Sure, they make billions of dollars at the box office, but I never found them to be at all fulfilling.  The first one was mostly forgettable, with the last 20 minutes being the only good part in a sea of mediocrity.  The second one was god awful, and I honestly have no idea where to begin with how bad it was.  Between bad writing, bad acting, racists robots, boring action, humping robots, a nonsensical plot, and robot heaven, there's a lot of bad to go around for that film.  After Revenge of the Fallen, I thought I was done with the franchise.  But then I saw the first Super Bowl spot for Dark of the Moon, and Bay had me by the balls once again. Even I couldn't deny that the action looked pretty incredible.  It was the quality of everything else that I was worried about. But did Transformers: Dark of the Moon fulfill my quixotic dream of a good Transformers movie, or is it just as bad as Revenge of the Fallen? Find out after the jump.

There are a ton of movies coming out this year and next year, so its rather easy to anticipate all of them. Well, people seem to be overlooking certain aspects of these films. For example some are reboots, others are sequels without the original cast, and others are just plain out there. So here are six movies I am looking forward to for specific reasons.

So there are a ton of films coming out this summer, but one franchise that really turned peoples heads a few years ago is coming back for more. This of course being Michal Bays Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

As Summer quickly approaches, more and more studios will be amping up the marketing for their biggest films.  Which of course means more trailers for us!  Today brings news of not one, but two of these trailer premiere dates.  Check them out this week.

Finally, the one thing that everyone is looking forward to during Super Bowl 2011 is about to be revealed this week; New Commercials!

Am I missing something here? I watched the teaser at least 10 times trying to figure out what about it would compel me to watch the movie in theaters, but I just couldn't see it.

You gotta give Shia LaBeouf some credit. Despite nearly losing a finger, eye, and other assorted body parts in recent accidents, he's still doing his own stunts. He's currently in California shooting Transformers: Dark of the Moon, and we have pictures of the former Mutt Williams in action.

Oh Amazon.com, how many spoilers have you given out over the years?  It's been quite a few, as the top-rate selling website usually posts detailed descriptions on all of their products.  Fans of books, movies, and even videogames have come to realize that Amazon can sometimes be the best source for information on eagerly awaited productions.  Now it looks like they've struck once again, but this time with information on the upcoming Transformers: The Dark of the Moon.  Since most of the plot has been kept underwraps fans have been anxiously awaiting any news on what the third film will be about.  A new - and obscure - Amazon product may be able to help.
