With Zack Snyder heading up Superman: The Man of Steel, expectations are high that the man behind 300 and Watchmen can bring a Dark Knight-level of success to Big Blue. As Superman Returns proved, however, achieving greatness isn't easy. Like so many superhero films of late, what seemed like a great idea for a Superman story didn't quite materialize on the big screen. 

Man of Steel is set to begin filming this year, so I've thought hard about how the director can really make this film work.  I've now compiled five different ways Zach Snyder can make us all happy to see the Last Son of Krypton on the big screen again.

I am a huge Zack Snyder fan.  I'm just going to go ahead and lay that on the table, and I know I'm not alone.  Regardless of what you may think of him, he has an amazing ability to make his films look gorgeous.  They truly are works of art in every frame.  A lot of it has to do with the technology, but how he uses it, constantly amazes me.  However, the one thing fans haven't really seen from him yet is something...original.  Most of his films (and the ones that have made him most famous) are adaptations of someone else's work.  With that in mind I've been eagerly following Sucker Punch, which breaks him from that mold, and allows him to tell his own story.

Very little has been shown of the film however, and the short teaser trailer we were treated to at Comic Con only prompted more questions, while visually capturing us.  However, a brand new theatrical length trailer has finally been released that gives more info on the story.
