Golden Raspberry Foundation release Razzie nominations; filled with love as always
Monday, 24 January 2011 19:22In always apt fashion (a.k.a the day before the Oscar nom announcements), the Golden Raspberry Foundation have found this to be a suitable time to release the nominations to the 2010 Razzie Nominations. General consensus? They hate The Last Airbender, think Sex and the City 2 is a piece of crap, and despise The Bounty Hunter to no end. What's new? Check out the nominations, along with some quick commentary, after the break.
TMP Reviews: Little Fockers
Saturday, 25 December 2010 21:40Sometimes, you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. When that happens, it’s best to euthanize it. I know you loved the dog. You shared some great memories together. But, really, for the dog’s own good...just kill it. Its parts don’t work right anymore. It limps around, blindly running into the walls of corridors it once knew well, groaning with the unbearable agony of a life too far lived and a death too long denied. You’re in pain watching it. It needs to die. Otherwise, we get things like Little Fockers.
Cinema Showdown: December 24-26
Friday, 24 December 2010 23:19Well, as most of you probably noticed, there was no Cinema Showdown last week. An error in the posting system, and my general lack of energy to write the whole thing all over again, was the cause of it. However, I think writing one of these on Christmas Eve more than makes up for it, don’t you?
You also may notice that this week’s Showdown is organized different than usual. Hopefully, this new system of classification will make it much easier to read and clearer to understand. Anyways, I’ve blabbered on long enough, and I think it’s time we get into some film! This week is pretty busy, with a western, a raunchy comedy, and a family movie all competing for box office dominance. But which one’s worth your time and, more importantly, money this weekend? That’s right, everyone: It’s time for another Cinema Showdown!
