One of the funnier things to come out of the Internet lately has been this video debate between William Shatner and Carrie Fisher over which is better, Star Trek or Star Wars.  Obviously they're on opposite sides of the argument and have some funny and interesting reason why.  Now George Takei (Dr. Sulu in Trek) has come out with a video in the hopes of ending the feud and uniting the fans over a common enemy....Twilight.

If there's one thing that can be said about us Star Wars fans...we love spending our money on collectibles.  Well over the weekend one such item got the honor of becoming the most expensive piece of Star Wars memorabilia ever sold.

Thanks to the magic that is internet domain name registration, it has recently been revealed that LucasFilm has registered the name Star Wars: Identity. So, of course, we must ask the question—WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!

A couple nice things have hit today for Star Wars fans, in the form of the official 3D release poster for The Phantom Menace's return to the big screen, along with the first preview clip of Darth Maul's in the upcoming season of The Clone Wars!

Hello and welcome to The Weekly Rhetoric, the one place on the internet where you'll find someone incoherently arguing a point with enough intensity to kill a baby iguana!  Every week I'll take a subject, do the least amount of research I can, throw a couple paragraphs together in between episodes of Seinfeld, and pass it off as real journalism!  For our first week out, we'll tackle one of the heavy hitters of the cinema world: Star Wars.  What happened to this once legendary franchise?  Why is it met with so much anger nowadays?  And, more importantly...are you to blame?

Star Wars Fan Days IV is coming soon to the DFW area.  If you haven't heard of it, it's one of the largest Star Wars conventions right behind the big Celebration.  Needless to say tons of people are going to be there from the films, the show, and even the authors of the Star Wars books.  The good news?  A lot are signing for free.

In order to commemorate the release of the Star Wars saga on blu-ray later this week (Sept. 16th), Lucasfilm and 20th Century fox are partnering with the renowned cos-play group the 501st to unleash Jawas on the city of New York.
