At first glance, this is a pretty silly and dumb rumor. I mean, there's just so many things about this that doesn't make any sense! For one, I'm pretty sure Ridley Scott has said that none of the characters from the original film are coming back this time around. Also, it's been pretty well reported that Harrison Ford had a terrible experience making Blade Runner. Add in the fact that Ford has been pretty hesitant to sci-fi films nowadays and the idea of Ford returning for Blade Runner 2 seems pretty incomprehensible. That said, a rumor has been circling around the interwebs (as the kids call it) this weekend that Ford will indeed be back as police officer Rick Deckard in Blade Runner 2. And, believe it or not...I actually believe there's credence to this rumor.
With the Super Bowl spot for The Avengers comes a slew of new footage that has fans oogling and drooling over (myself included). Yet nothing is quite as exciting as getting our first real look at the mysterious aliens that will be the villain's army in the film. Thanks to the magic of HD video, we've got it highlighted for you in case you missed it.
Let's face it...movie commercials during the Super Bowl are just a big tease. They're only 30 seconds long and for fans who are eager for footage that's just not enough. Fortunately, studios understand this and shortly after they air on TV, they release extended versions to sate your appetite...
Universal Pictures sent out a press release just a little bit ago announcing that filming for the Riddick film has officially started...even though it actually started a little while ago (and the set pics prove it).
If your answer to the above question was anything other than "yes" (or a variant of that word), then I'm afraid I can never be friends with you. Director Robert Zemeckis, producer Bob Gale, and composer Alan Selvestri are currently making plans to adapt the film to the stage, whether you like it or not. And you BETTER like it. Anyways, read more about the potential project and who's involved after the jump.
