The video captures a brief dialogue of Walt Disney discussing how the theme ride will be viewed by boat as the audience captures a first hand experience of pirate life. From there, our favorite villain Barbossa narrates the featurette through scenes of the first three movies to filming small snippets of the upcoming fourth installment. Nothing too revealing but enough to pique the interest of fans.

I wish they would have dived deeper into the actual ride from Disneyland. Maybe it was best to keep it short to draw the viewer into the marketing strategy. It was wonderful to see the fond memories of the ride as I vividly recall. As a child, I was enthralled to ride the drifting boat through the action packed theme ride. Life sized pirates fighting on boats as you quietly maneuvered in between battling ships of enormous proportions. Water splashed up as they mimicked the canon balls descent into the water. By far the best part of the ride, outside of the prisoners trying to obtain the keys from the mutt. So you could only imagine my thrilling excitement when that was added into the script. The ride was a definite experience as a young kid, thrilling to say the least. Pirates sang and chased women (as it was originally intended before they added food to the trays). Piles of gold and treasure tossed everywhere. Pirates of the Caribbean was my favorite and was a popular attraction for others, too.
Even though I feel another film might be over the top, I would definitely be lying to say I would not see this movie. I can’t help to love every character especially Captain Jack Sparrow and Barbossa. Looking forward to the release this May.
Enjoy the featurette!
