Yes, ladies and gents – as of next year, audiences will have the unfortunate pleasure of catching the sequel to The Human Centipede.
The original film was not precisely a direct hit as it grossed a total of $181,000 (yes, that is correct). So why is IFC releasing a sequel? Simple answer. On-demand orders skyrocketed the film’s success. Yet no one cares to watch it in theaters but luring victims in their home seems to work! So it might be more popular then we could really imagine. For those who were not privy to the first trailer (be thankful), it was about an off-the-wall disturbed scientist who sewed his victims from head-to-rear to essentially create one gigantic centipede (original no?). Even critics were not impressed with the horror value on effects. Lackluster to say the least. How bad will the sequel be?

News on the upcoming plotline is very minimal as via a press release it was announced, "The only information IFC Films and the producers are revealing is that this time there is a new villain on the scene named Martin, and that the premise is 100% medically inaccurate!" The trailer for the sequel is not as disturbing as the first (no worries!). It has director Tom Six lingering as he walks through a parking garage. Fake blood is splattered across his faces and shirt as his voice is voiced over in his contemplating thoughts. He is aiming to go above and beyond than what he originally directed.
Words can’t describe the insanity and waste of money they are plugging into a sequel. I never had any inkling to sit down and watch a movie like this unless I had nothing else better to do (even then that’s stretching it). Whether we like it or not, there will be The Human Centipede Part 2 (Full Sequence) releasing sometime next year.
