Everybody knows I love my big-budget Sci-Fi films. I just can't get enough of them. I love to see alien creatures and for some reason can't get enough of things blowing up. Skyline is a very interesting film because it has all of those elements. The heavy CGI, the menacing aliens coming to steal/kill us all, and plenty of destruction...yet it's a film being done on a very tight budget.
This new teaser trailer has me all kinds of excited. For the most part we only see news anchors talking about the warning Stephen Hawking once gave about how we shouldn't try to talk to aliens or we might not get what we want. The end result being that we should have minded our own business.
Aliens come down to Earth with apparently only one thing in mind. Sucking up as many humans as possible into their ships using giant vacuums. As great as the trailer was a part of me couldn't help but think of Spaceballs when they used a giant vacuum cleaner to suck all the air from a planet. Regardless of the odd similarity the film looks fun and the marketing seems off to a good start. Skyline is set to hit theaters 11-12-10
