There isn't much to say that can't be said simply by watching the trailer for Marvel Studio's upcoming action epic "Thor".
Directed by Kenneth Branagh, the film follows the titular hero's (Chris Hemsworth) rise to fame after his epic expulsion from Asgard by his father, Odin (Anthony Hopkins) for his arrogance, greed, and cruelty.

With the Thunder God out of the picture, cooling his heels on Midgard (Earth), the time is ripe for Thor's devious nemesis Loki (Tom Hiddleston) to strike and seize the throne and control of Asgard for himself.
Then there's SHIELD and their interest in this man of mystery, his extraordinary powers, and what use he may serve for joining Earth's mightiest heroes.
The film looks fantastic, but we will wait with baited breath for the finished film. Marvel is on a roll with the success of Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk. Let's see if the gold mine is still producing as we march our way to 2012's "The Avengers".
