Just when some began to think that Johnny Depp and his production company, Infinitum Nihil, were never going to see the remake of Dark Shadows come to pass..voila!  A screenwriter with a flare for vampire story writing has been found to produce a script.  It only took three years to find him.  In case you did not know, Depp acquired the rights to the vampire cult classic show in the summer of 2007.

Now for the big reveal..  The genius that has stepped up to write what is sure to be a fabulous screenplay is none other than Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’s writer Seth Grahame-Smith.  You cannot go wrong with an imaginative writer, as well as Johnny Depp starring and producing.  Add in the fact that Tim Burton is said to be directing the project, and you have a triple threat!

A release date has not been set, but you can probably guess it will be one or two years away as it is part of the Warner Bros./IMAX agreement to release up to 20 films in IMAX format through 2013.
