Let's face it Syfy has been struggling lately. Their made for TV films have been bad to the point of not even classifying as B-movies. They used to make some really good choices and produce some of the better TV movies around. I'd like to blame it on the name change (I think it's ridiculous) but the truth is they've been going downhill for a number of years.

You can make movies just as good!
If you feel the same way, now's your chance to try and make a difference. The network is launching a new website call 'B Movie Mogul', where fans can go online and actually pitch their ideas for Syfy's next film. Users can then vote on everything from the title, to the names of characters, lines of dialogue, story lines, and promotional tag lines. Heck you will even be able to vote on what wardrobe you think the cast should wear. The idea is to create almost an entirely user generated film in the hopes of creating a film fans truly want to see. After all the votes have been tallied they will then take that 'script' and film a two hour film to release next year.
Syfy is teaming up with IGN to launch the 15 month program that will launch this Friday. Get your thinking caps ready as the first stage of voting has you choosing a genre: a 2010 apocalypse story, a Bermuda Triangle-set creature feature or a Roswell, N.M.-set alien movie.

I think it's a very progressive idea and will at the very least give those fans of Syfy (or former fans) the chance to have a say in what takes place on a new movie. Who knows, using this method we might get a really great film...or fans could potentially create a really lousy film. The power is in your hands now!
