Despite having a last name similar to a prophylactic, Condon is actually an Oscar winner (best adapted screenplay for Gods and Monster) and a fairly successful director (Gods and Monster, Kinsey, Dreamgirls).  What would possess him to attach himself to a movie that will feature vampires snorkeling, c-sections with fangs, and a werewolf who loves a newborn?  A love of shirtless teenage boys perhaps?  Or maybe he is just really fond of sparkles and people who look like they are shitting themselves when they try to convey emotion.  Anyway here is some stuff from the press release:

I can't discuss this any further right now.  The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the third of the franchise, hits theaters June 30, 2010 and will probably break a bunch of records and make me lose all hope for future generations.  Good times, good times.
