Oh, and yeah, it's got tons of action and people shooting things. On the whole, I'm actually very interested in seeing this movie. I've really enjoyed the Underworld movies, and outside of a severe misstep with Rise of the Lycans, I think it's still a series worth watching. It's a more unique twist on the vampire story, which is refreshing in this world of teen vampire romances...
This trailer is supposed to be attached to the upcoming Fright Night, but since this showed up on YouTube, there's no telling if Screen Gems really intended to release this today. If not, we'll be sure to have the official version up soon.
Okay, so the 3D-esque titles and overall pacing of trailer reminds me a little too much of the latest Resident Evil movies, but I'm still looking forward to this film. At the very least, it looks like it could be a good popcorn flick to sit through and enjoy. Anyway, here's the small plot synopsis in case you couldn't gather everything from the trailer:
“After being held in a coma-like state for fifteen years, vampire Selene (Kate Beckinsale) learns that she has a fourteen-year-old vampire/Lycan hybrid daughter, Nissa, and when she finds her they must stop BioCom from creating super Lycans that will kill them all.”
Underworld: Awakening opens January 20, 2012. So, does this trailer get you guys excited for the movie?
