In always apt fashion (a.k.a the day before the Oscar nom announcements), the Golden Raspberry Foundation have found this to be a suitable time to release the nominations to the 2010 Razzie Nominations.  General consensus?  They hate The Last Airbender, think Sex and the City 2 is a piece of crap, and despise The Bounty Hunter to no end.  What's new?  Check out the nominations, along with some quick commentary, after the break.

Documentaries that follow the making of films tend to be boring, promotional "fluff" pieces that end up as special features on a DVD. In rare cases, a "making of" documentary becomes a great film itself, and is every bit as riveting and entertaining as the film it is based on. Inferno, a ninety minute documentary on the making of The Expendables, is such a film.

Months of anticipation.  Blog posts upon blog posts of raves.  These are just some of the things that Scott Pilgrim vs. The World gave us before its release.


Utter disappointment in society.  Failure as a species to collectively realize the importance of quality film.  This is what we got upon Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’s release.  The general audiences once again failed to release what a good movie was, thus leading Scott Pilgrim to bomb at the box office.  Blame the advertising, blame The Expendables, blame whatever you like.  All that matters is this:  Scott Pilgrim vs. the World was a fantastic movie, and no one watched it.  As a geek, I feel guilty.  I should have helped this film, spread the word around as much as I could.  But I didn’t.  And that was a mistake.  I want to rectify that mistake.  And what better way to do that then to recommend the purchase of the DVD?  So, as atonement for my past geek sins, here are six reasons why Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is an instant purchase.
