Why'd We Do It?

Movie sites are a dime a dozen and people often ask us why we dove in. The answer is pretty simple really. Filmmaking is a collaborative effort. On the high-end you'll have hundreds of people behind a film, and on the other you may have just a handful of people doing the work of thousands. As technology advances and the filmmaking landscape changes only one thing remains certain -- there can never be enough potential for opportunity because we all have to start somewhere.

TheMoviepool.com launched in 2010 with a very simple goal in mind: To provide a place for filmmakers to meet people as passionate as themselves, while allowing them to take a step back and learn from great films and modern audiences. Whether that passion is for screenwriting, acting, directing, or just a love of film and debate, we hope to provide a forum that allows everyone to dive head first into all aspects of film and re-emerge better for it.

So take a moment to catch up on the latest movie news, write a review of your favorite movie, start a discussion within our community, and become a member to meet people just like you.
